Project Life

About 3 years ago I stumbled upon something called Project Life. And while I would love to have the time to sit down and fiddle with papers, journal cards and embellishment. Most mothers would know that with two small children, loose papers gets pilfered, stickers end up all over the house and you have no time.
So I went with the digital option. Becky Higgins has one version, the Project Life app which is great for on the go and for super easy scrapping. You can even print your pages right from the app. Then you have photoshop which I use for my pages. Of course there are many other software out there made for scrapping, but photoshop is easy enough once you get familiar. For scrap goodies such as patterned paper, embellishments, journal cards and templates I get from stores like Sweet Shoppe Designs, The Lily Pad and some from Becky Higgins (whom also have a digital store).
And I have now made 3 years worth of memories into photo books, for me and for the kids.

The beautiful part of digital scrapbooking isn't just that it's quick and easy, but you can use your supplies over and over again and never run out. You can print as many copies as you need and you save money (unless you're like me and spend too much on all the gorgeousness).

I have found that to keep organised I make folders for each week (as my albums are weekly spreads as opposed to monthly) with the dates and week number. In these folders I organise my photos, this way I can easily find them in case I get behind on my pages. For the memories themselves and the funny things my kids say each day, I have found that writing a daily journal has helped med remember. Just a few words about where we were, what we did, who we met and the everyday stuff. For this I have found a dated planner/journal works wonders, in my case the Inkwell Press planner quarterlies.

So I decided I would share my folders with you, that way you can save the few minutes it takes making them. They are all ready dated mon - sun and ready to use. I hope you enjoy!
